When I moved out on my own at 18, I found myself feeling a little alone and decided I wanted a companion animal. Enter stage left, a beautiful little white and brown lop named Nugget. Nugget was the first pet I ever adopted as an independent adult and my first ever pet rabbit. The amount of joy and light he brought into my life was immeasurable and thus began my love and passion for rabbits. Since then I have adopted two more rabbits, Opal (black) and Tye (brown). I have also taken a role within New Mexico House Rabbit Society where I work towards bettering the lives of domestic rabbits in NM through education, fundraising, fostering, community engagement, etc.
About Me
I have taken multiple rabbit specific veterinary classes as well as House Rabbit Society education courses to keep my knowledge base up to date. I am trained in general rabbit care, nail trimming, scent gland cleaning, sanitary haircuts, administering medication and sub-q fluids, syringe feeding, and first aid, including the bunny Heimlich maneuver.
