Frequently Asked Questions

Does my rabbit have to be spayed/neutered to receive services?

No, but keep in mind that spaying/neutering your rabbit the best way to keep your rabbits healthy and prevent reproductive cancer. Unsterilized rabbits are not eligible for boarding services.

Does my rabbit have to be vaccinated against RHDV2 to receive services?

No, but keep in mind that I interact with multiple rabbits per day and there is an increased risk of your rabbit contracting RHDV2 if they are not fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated rabbits are not eligible for boarding services.

Do you provide services for other types of animals?

I do not provide home visits for clients who do not have at least one rabbit. Only rabbits are eligible for boarding. If you have other types of animals at home in addition to your pet rabbit, I can provide care for them as well. Additional species are $5. Dogs over 35lbs are NOT eligible for pet sitting services.

Do you offer bathing as a grooming service?

No, I do not. Rabbits do not need regular baths like some other animals do. Bathing is a traumatizing experience and can cause serious complications. HOWEVER some rabbits who are disabled or otherwise impaired may not be able to keep themselves clean. In this case, a butt bath can be done. No rabbit should ever be fully submerged in water and should always be dried thoroughly after being cleaned up as needed.

What areas do you service?

I service addresses within the outlined map area. Addresses within the inner (darker) map area follow the rates listed on the services page. Addresses within the outer (lighter) map area are subject to a travel fee of no more than $10. Special requests for services outside of the map area may be made by NM residents and may be approved based on availability and/or feasibility.
